Reference management with Citavi

Organize your chaotic piles of books!

Citavi reference management software helps you keep track of your book collection and makes citing sources plus creating reference lists much easier.

What features does Citavi offer?

  • With Citavi, you can search our library catalog and various subject-specific databases to quickly find the right texts.
  • No citation is lost. Pickers let you send web pages and book titles directly from your browser to your Citavi project.
  • Organize your collection of scientific sources with Citavi and create outlines right in the software. When writing with Citavi’s Word Add-in, you have everything at your fingertips: titles, quotes, and ideas.
  • With version 6, projects can be stored in the cloud, supporting work across different devices and in teams.

Citavi Site License

The University Library has acquired a site license for Citavi for Windows. Students and employees can use the full version of the software free of charge. Advantage: Instead of a maximum of 100 titles, you can store up to 50,000 titles per project.

Citavi is available in version 6. It is Windows-based software that requires Windows 10, 8, or 7. If you want to use Citavi on a Mac, please follow these instructions.
