Terms of use

The basis for the use of e-books are the copyright law and the terms of use from the hosts.

What are you allowed to do?

Generally, you can save or print several pages or chapters of an e-book for your personal use or for research purposes.

What are you not allowed to do?

It is forbidden to download or print systematically complete e-books or big parts of them. It is also forbidden to use special software for the download (like web spiders, crawlers, bots).
You must not hand the e-books to a third party in electronic nor in printed version.
This also applies to the access to saved e-books.

The hosts examine the amount of downloads. If someone violates their terms of use, the access will be disabled for this user or in the worst case for the entire university.
